Empty shelves

Our local supermarket has now blocked off a whole aisle where vegetables used to be overflowing. The area where eggs used to be displayed is also completely devoid of any eggs at all today. I know that when we compare this situation with what is happening in Ukraine, Turkey and Syria we have nothing to complain about. However, bit by bit the U.K. “just in time” supermarket supply chain is breaking down in plain sight.
