A pile of stones

It was very pleasant sitting outside for breakfast for the first time this year. And it turned out to be wonderfully sunny and warm all day. Unfortunately, one of us had to spend most of the day desk-bound to meet a deadline - pretty frustrating it was not to get out and enjoy one of our few good days in May. Late afternoon, a neighbour chapped the door to offer us some more stones. Over the past few months he has been clearing out a massive of amount of boulders and other building materials, accumulated over many years. We had asked for a few and taken them earlier in the week. Now he was offering us a truck load - so, we said OK! Fortunately, we have a separate access to the old field, which he was able to back up and, conveniently, his hired truck had a tipper on the back. Now he's offering us another load on Sunday - well, they'll soon disappear in the old field.

This shot shows the north-west corner of the field with a few stacks of timber and cleared debris still to be disposed of . . . and a fresh crop of weeds regenerating enthusiastically!
