The fairy barge

Our last day of holiday the weather was supposed to be horrendous but it stayed dry this morning so we set off from the campsite which backed on to the canal near Poynton in Cheshire, and as we walked along the towpath we passed lots of canal boats which were moored up, this one was not the usual bargee decoration but had been painted up with a magical scene,
We walked into Poyton following a very pleasant footpath through the woods that used to be a train track for the coal mining trucks, we stopped off in a cafe in town for sustenance for the walk back,( 6 mile round trip) a full English for Mr T & a bacon & egg barm cake for me plus a mug of milky coffee each.
Then back home.
Have had no internet while away but will back blip a couple of days and catch up with comments later
