Big bully ducks!
Today we celebrated the warm sunny weather by picnicking beside Sutton Bingham reservoir, a few miles south of Yeovil.
There were lots of little sailing boats on the water, and a large flock of gulls (mainly adult and immature herring gulls) floating near where we, and others, were parked, and a lot of ducks, mainly mallards, plus rooks from a nearby rookery and a few jackdaws.
These were two of the ducks, probably a drake and his mate, presumably hybrids with farmyard ducks, so larger than the mallards. After I took this picture, they started chasing away any smaller duck that came near them, especially when some of the spectators threw food over the fence!
