I've been weeding my digital photo catalogues and came across some shots from nearly six years ago when I was wandering in my lunch hour around the RAF Henlow Aero Club's hangar.

This Flight Safety poster is a pretty old one but of course the message remains important.  In fact while I was instructing on Tutors we heard of a young Air Training Corps cadet who had stepped forwards off the wing of a Tutor and into the moving propeller.  She survived, but my emergency brief after that to any student or cadet included the word BACKWARDS off the wing when leaving the aircraft for any reason.

You can never be certain of people's actions when in an unfamiliar situation . . .
