Yellow-crowned night heron

Found this bird at a site that was introduced to me by mmg. He was in the stream and he surprised me as I was walking. I could only see his head. He then kindly flew a feet up to this limb and posed.

Off to the big game. I am expecting to watch it in the rain. Hopefully will be able to get a few photos.
