Daffodil Bud

Back in January, we were up in Edinburgh visiting Kat.  One of the first things I noticed in her garden was a Daffodil bud.  Ours were barely above the ground at that stage.

We were at the Lodge for a final check and to leave the milk for the incoming guests.  While admiring next doors Daffodils I glanced round the garden and spotted this bud.  Strangely it is the first Daffodil bud I have seen down here.  Kat's is probably in flower by now, which I find puzzling with Edinburgh being so far north.  I assume it must be the slightly higher temperature that cities have and the closeness to the sea.
