Mizzly on the Mynd

I reluctantly took myself off for a solo run up the Mynd today, as none of the goats were available. I didn’t want to go but have some events looming that won’t train for themselves. It was utterly bleak heading up Ashes Hollow. Grey, mizzly and windy. Same up top with very little visibility. Obviously I catastrophied about the likelihood of dying alone up there but by the time I’d reached the gliding club I’d talked myself round. It ended up being a delightful run and I managed a super hilly 16 miles which is the furthest I’ve ever run with that kind of elevation (2,200ft).

Games night with the neighbours tonight but I might be comatose.
