Where did today go?
An unusually bad night's sleep, on Thursday night, led to a rather blurry Friday. So this is definitely an Emergency Blip.
We went to see Suzanne Vega on Thursday night, in Buxton Opera House. It was a lovely gig, full of warmth, great songs and amusing anecdotes. Perhaps it was hard to wind down afterwards. This was not helped by the drive back, along dark and winding Derbyshire roads. Neither Richard nor I enjoy night-time driving these days.
Anyway, here's Suzanne Vega in BBC Radio 2's Piano Room:

Enjoy...
On Friday afternoon, Ruth and the boys came over for a couple of hours. In my garage-clearing binges, I had found some stored-away toys from Ruth's primary school days - particularly some little lizards and other creatures, made of stuffed fabric. She had carefully written a name for each one on its shiny polyester belly. Eben and Luca loved them.
