Whitby Abbey

We braved the high winds to travel down the coast to Whitby.

First stop was Captain Cook’s Endeavour, then we crossed the bridge and meandered through the narrow streets for a while. It was nice and sunny despite the wind, but very blustery once we reached the Abbey via 199 steps.

We had lunch at Trenchers, and bought a selection of confectionery to take home. We couldn’t entice my mum to try anything we’d bought when we got back to her place. She exists on supplement drinks and nothing else :(

I ran the last 3.3 miles to our holiday home, and enjoyed listening to the sea lapping the coast.
