Tarn

A trip today to the stunning fortified hilltop town of Cordes-Sur-Ciel. And, out of season as we are, not a single place was open, like literally nowhere. We ended up sitting on a wall on the road out of town munching on bread and cheese after I'd spotted a Carrefour Express - to be honest, it did the job perfectly. 

Drinks out in town back in Albi, this picture was taken at sunset as we crossed the old bridge across the river Tarn back to ours. This bridge is shut in a couple of weeks time, presumably for repairs, it's been coming since the thirteenth century after all.
