Honister Pass

We went up to the slate mine at Honister at lunchtime.

We were going to walk to Fleetwith Pike, but the freezing cold gale force wind made us change our mind! ( It really was not a day for walking at Honister today! )

Instead, we checked out a new route at Loweswater...Ros is leading a U3A walking group there in a couple of weeks. The weather was much calmer down in the valley, thank goodness.
