Wisteria

I love the look and smell of Wisteria. I don't often see it around here, and when I do I am very pleased as it always reminds me of our first home.

When my husband and I were first married and living in South Africa, we had a large patio at our first home that had a pergola over the patio, which was covered in the most beautiful wisteria plant. In the summer it gave shade and relief from the sun and in winter it died back and allowed the warmth of the sun to come through. The smell of the flowers was beautiful.

A quiet weekend, besides the older boys being in the throes of GCSE and AS exams, my youngest has end of year (already?) exams starting on Monday. So a dead boring weekend...
