Exploring Funchal

It’s my friend’s first visit so we had a day walking down to the Cathedral, via the Presidents garden (and seeing how Lucky the pup is progressing - extra)

The market, the old town with the painted doors, a snack up in the Barrerinha cafe, a gentle walk back on the promenade, the Museum of the City of Sugar…… we’ve done a lot ! 

My photo was taken in the morning, before the remnants of the sand had blown away. I loved the light and the contrast of colours in the Santa Catalina garden.
