Domestic bliss

An auspicious day today - the new kitchen is now fully operational! Lots of cupboards to fill and I suspect this will be the first and last time it looks so tidy.

But it won't be this weekend the filling takes place. I''m writing this at my mother's in Bannockburn, where we are having an overnight stop en route to York for the weekend. It's been a stressful couple of month. We missed out on our planned trip to Paris last weekend because of our bereavement, so these next two days will be a welcome chance to relax and recharge the batteries. We're meeting up with some good friends we haven't seen for a while - so there will be much to talk about and share.
