On the porch

I sat out on this rocker today in the screened in section of the back porch.  There was just enough sunshine to warm me up as there was a tiny bit of cool wind even though the sun was hot.  This photo was made just after the sun moved to the right and the porch was more shaded.   More porch sitting this week as we get back to dry, pleasant weather. And probably pollen will be getting bad...I can see buds on the tops of the oaks and hickories.      I actually sat in the sunshine in the yard in shorts and a tank top for an hour after we had lunch. It was almost hot! Soaking up that vitamin D and trying to get rid of these winter white legs!!

We also might take a short hike at a new location on Wednesday.  I found a new restaurant to try.   It is near the river walk along the Savannah River which is only about an hours drive away.    Food is a great motivator for my hubby to get out of his chair and on his feet to walk.   Overall he is doing great.  Last week at PT and then next week he goes back to surgeon for final visit.   Swelling still happens and pain in the upper thigh but he knows that just has to heal completely.  We did walk the road again today for a mile.
