La Vista Ridge trail

A fine last day in California. An early coffee at the aptly named Lofty’s Coffee at La Costa Towne Centre preceded a walk with the whole family around the Encinitas trails leading to the La Vista Ridge trail which gives commanding views all around and from which todays blip was taken.

We were back in time to watch Super Bowl 57 enjoying beer, nibbles, cheese, cold meats, vegetables and guacamole while watching the spectacle What a game, so close and exciting aided Rob’s interpretation and commentary and the multitude of advertisements. Madison almost stole the show by rolling onto the front and trying many more times to repeat the feat.

After the game ended we took Rob and Christy, our hosts for the past 17 days out to dinner along with Chris, Carly and Madison. Chin’s Chinese restaurant was their place of choice for our final evening.

Then it was time for the next round of goodbyes which will carry on tomorrow. We’ll not see Carly tomorrow but we will see Madison and Chris in the morning before heading up to LA for our flight.
