River Almond
Early cycle ride to Cramond via National Cycle Route 1. At Cramond Brig I found the path by the river which goes down to the shore. The map indicates "many steep steps" .. which there are. There's a section where the path is up about 30 metal steps, in flights, with gates between. Getting the bike up that was an interesting exercise. Then there's a slightly wider flight of wooden steps down.
Back by the estuary edge. Mild morning, not much wind.
A social day after that. My brother came back with his partner; then we had a visit from one set of neighbours in the building. An afternoon walk in the Warriston cemetery; there are lots of snowdrops and some daffodils coming out. Then another visit from a second lot of neighbours. Talked about gull bags and deeds, as well as exchanging background information.
