…………………......…..Light
Taken on our evening walk to the Kumeras.
The tide was still receding so we were able to walk well out to enjoy this colourful sunset as we made our way back to higher ground.
The body of water sparkling in the light is actually a huge puddle, cradled with surrounding stones on three sides and silky sandbank on the beach side.
A big thank you for the comments, stars and hearts for yesterday’s “portrait” - the feathers are iridescent when caught in the light, otherwise they appear as pure black with white hightlights.
Cyclone Gabrielle has changed direction slightly, moving closer to New Zealand.
MetService is warning most of the North Island will be under “some kind of warning” over the next few days as Cyclone Gabrielle hits Aotearoa. The experts say it remains unclear where and when the worst of the cyclone will hit.
As Cyclone Gabrielle tracks east and moves away from Aotearoa from Tuesday, there is the possibility of heavy rain across the South Island into the mid-week.
As Cyclone Gabrielle moves down the country, MetService will issue warnings and watches accordingly.
