A morning walk in Sutton Park.

We enjoyed our walk and the encounter with the wild Exmoor ponies which were imported to help with the vegetation, as they can eat tough plants like gorse and thistles alongside heathland grass, without pulling them out by the roots. There are cattle grids dotted around the 2,400 acres which keep them enclosed.
I’ve included a photo in extras, alongside others, including our coffee stop with a view of Bracebridge Pool, where there is a small kiosk which sells drinks and sandwiches. It is situated alongside the Boathouse restaurant, with an area especially for customers just having a snack.
By the time we had finished our walk it was lunchtime. ,
We have just come home from seeing the family this afternoon. It’s a 30 minute walk (for me at least!) there and back, so I had plenty of exercise today.
As we were walking home the cold breeze had noticeably vanished and it was quite mild under the milky cloud covering. Crocuses are in flower in gardens, alongside some patches of daffodils.
The Forsythia by the end of our drive has never been so late to bloom before. It is only now just beginning to show tiny snatches of yellow buds.
