Ossian's Cave

No Winter Words today - instead I went out for a Winter Walk with our local walking group.  We headed over to the Hermitage near Dunkeld where we followed The Hemitage and Braan Path.

There were 14 of us all together and it was a lovely morning to be out walking - the sun was shining and it felt positively spring like and the path took us through woodland and open fields.

The picture is of the rocks outside Ossian's Cave near the start of the walk.  It is doubtful that Ossian ever stayed here but I always find it rather romantic and mysterious

Someone pointed out the markings on the rock which I hadn't really noticed before (too focused on cave itself) but was rather taken with.

The walk also took us over the wonderfully named rumbling bridge, so named for the water flowing underneath it rather than the actual bridge.
