View from the car park
We took J for an appointment in Orpington, about ninety minutes drive from here, on the edge of London. P planned a stop on the return journey, in a place where we could have a short walk and a small picnic (and take a few photos), but teatime traffic, a detour for petrol and a missed turning meant that by the time we arrived in the car park the sun had just set and a sign warned us that the gates would be locked in fifteen minutes. There was just enough time for me to give J a drink, munch half a bagel and snap the view from the car park.
