Feeling hot, hot, hot!

One of the reasons Ann likes to come down to our St Ives home in the winter, is so that we can check that the heating is working correctly. The trouble with that plan is...................... we need cold weather to test it out properly and it certainly isn't cold in St Ives.

When Ann went to the supermarket at lunchtime, the car told her the temperature was 10C. However, she spent most of the morning outside
tidying/cleaning the front of the house and the sun terrace. Our outside thermometer (which admittedly is situated in direct sunlight) was showing 40C (see extras). It was so hot and sunny that she had to strip off I know, I know, TMI and put a Tshirt on.

Even when I went for my afternoon walk at 3.30pm (and the sun had disappeared) it wasn't cold. In Edinburgh, if the sun has been shining brightly, it turns extremely cold the minute Mr Sunshine goes away.
Anyway I went to Porthmeor Beach for my morning walk and I went to Porthminster Beach for my afternoon walk. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the beach. I played at rolling around on my back and digging holes. And the lovely thing about going for my walks in St Ives.................... we always meet people that we know so I get loads of fuss made of me. Having said that; I did silly 'puppy jumping up' at two people that I didn't know when I was on the beach this afternoon. Ann was really angry with me, but one of the ladies that I jumped up at, said, 'What a gorgeous little dog. I don't mind, she's only a puppy'. Ann replied, 'She's not a puppy, she's four and if she continues to act like a puppy, she'll be going back on her lead'. Mmmmm.................. I didn't like the sound of that!!

And the rest of the day has been taken up with Ann trying to organise her social life for the next couple of weeks. Her friends always want to go out, but it always seems to be up to Ann to get them organised, but at least she's got a few things sorted now.

Soooooo....................... we've had a lovely first day back in St Ives. Playing on the beach twice in one day has made me mega hungry so I gobbled up my breakfast this morning and then I gobbled up my dinner this evening. I was still hungry so Ann gave me 'seconds'. Yum, yum!
