We're back. Yay!

For those of you who are our FB friends, you will have seen our lovely early morning photos of my frosty walk beside Carsington Reservoir.  (I was staying with my cousin, Alfie the Beardie, overnight.)

Well, after a bit of a panic (because we had an 'oil light' flash up on our dashboard, while Ann was attempting to defrost the windscreen), we eventually made it down to St Ives in just over 6 hours.

It seemed to take forever, but my human didn't want to drive at our 'usual' speed because the last time we came down to Cornwall the overhead speed cameras clocked her doing 86pmh on the M1 so she had to do a 'Speed Awareness' course. If she gets caught again it's a £100 fine and 3 points on her licence. #naughtyhuman

We had brilliant sunshine all the way down, and Ann's plan was to take me straight down to the beach to catch the sunset. Unfortunately by the time we got here it had clouded over. As soon as I got into the house I asked to go out onto our very lovely sun terrace so that I could check out what was happening.
Nothing was happening. But don't we have a lovely view?

And you wouldn't believe how warm and cosy it is in our house. Our very lovely housekeeper, Julia, had popped in to switch on the heating and she also left some very lovely daffodils for us. #Juliaisthebest

Looking forward to two and a half weeks of fun in St Ives.
