Tuesday Afternoon

The car was booked in for new brake pads this afternoon, and I was assured it was a “while you wait” process.
Rather than just sit in reception, I went for a walk around the used car lot to see if anything took my fancy. This pair of BMW M2s certainly caught my eye. Unfortunately, the price tags also caught my eye, but for a totally different reason! Oh well, one can always dream and maybe I’ll win the Lotto this weekend.
As it happened, the work didn’t get done. Upon examination, it seems the brake discs were on the limit of acceptability and also needed replacing. But they hadn’t got any in stock and I’ve had to re-book for next Thursday. Still, I did get a free wash and hoover out of them, so not a totally wasted journey.
I’m doing a new gym programme this year and this morning was the first day of the new regime. Time wise it was ok, but I need to play around with weights next time as they didn’t feel quite right today. I reckon I’m going to have a few new aches tomorrow morning though.
Back at The Grand for another “Blackadder” rehearsal tonight. It’s not got any warmer!
