In the jungle
It was an early start for some as they went for breakfast before the crack of dawn with Wen Xin who was heading back to London. By the time I emerged those who had been up had gone back to bed.
But we did get going enough for me an the girls to go down to Verve Shops to see their Lion Dance. We arrived just in time and as ever it was very noisy but we were very close and this time received a mandarin and 3 fortune cookies.
Back home there was the usual stress about packing and getting ready to go but we made it by 1 and it was off to Sekeping Serendah and our jungle retreat. #1 wasn't impressed with the kampong hut. We stayed in Sekeping Hong Keng, Ipoh, just over 6 years ago and it felt quite similar. More here
After lunch it was off to the pool almost right next to our Timber Shed 2 and then a walk through the jungle to see the other accommodation. Some very vertiginous pathways and me in flip flops,
Later there was a BBQ (though no chocolate bananas as Wen Hui had left the foil behind) and Uno. And it rained and it kept raining. Olivia was too scared to share my room so ended up with her parents. And a first for me, seeping under a mosquito net.
