Woke to a fantastic sunrise over the loch. As this is our first true day here we needed supplies so went to the Rothiemurchus farm shop for nice stuff then Aviemore for more normal stuff.

Whilst at Rothiemurchus we also had lunch which was lovely then walked around loch Vaa a beautiful little loch surrounded by ancient pines and birches (see extra)

The walk started and finished at a cemetery car park, I like walking around cemeteries so we did that at the end. It's not picturesque but the grave of an obvious biker, Stewart Ghyll, had, under a cog and chain raven, the following inscription from his mates, "If there's another world, he's living in bliss, if not he made the most of this."
