A crucial piece of infrastructure was installed today.  Lifted from the garden and transferred to the allotment.   I tested it out in its new location and was joined by a Robin who came to sit on the back of the bench beside me.  I filled the feeders and snapped him filling his face.   A bit blurry as it was with my phone's zoom, not great (in extras). 

I relocated a rhubarb and stuck a couple of cheap roses I'd bought in.   Maybe a mistake as its forecast to be v v v cold next week.  I bought 4 fruit trees and placed stakes where I think they might go but thought twice about planting them just yet because of the imminent cold snap.  

After cooking Tarragon chicken with toasties, we watched the pottery and 4 episodes of The Wire.   

I ordered some greenhouse staging, a new swimsuit and booked a haircut online.   Time for bed.
