Preening egret

Today we wemt to north Wales to the Spinnies at Aberogwen. We were hoping to see a kingfisher. There were lots of birds but all in very twiggy trees and difficult to get a good photo. We DID see a kingfisher twice but its perch was deep in a twiggy tree. I took some shots but I'm not very happy with them so here is the preening egret which was well away from twigs. Despite all that it was fantastic to see the kingfisher twice!
