Morning light drowning out the frost
There was a freeeeeeezing frost this morning. I took some close-ups of the frost, but decided to change it up and add something a bit different this time!
Drove into Richmond with my music on loud (but humane) and "chair-danced" to Minuit the whole way. They are brilliant! They are a home-grown band, who originate from Nelson. Playing at Rockquest in a few weeks - $20 - beaut. Better than last year's Elemeno P, that's for sure.
School was good. Did some research on WWII affecting European artists, not relevant to my project hugely but it was interesting to get background knowledge.
I did a painting of an orchid. It's possibly the brightest painting I've done in my life (bold yellow, red, black and white). In some parts the paint is about .5mm thick! Fun!
Went to my mates after school to take photos of their band with a 350D (P's Mum's camera, I don't take mine to school often). They were stoked with my cliche version of the "close up of ?tuning end? and blurry fret board". Hehe. Doing cliche shots is so enjoyable, people always have great reactions to them. Perhaps this is because they are already familiar with such a shot in their subconscious and can relate to it, while still thinking it's an original idea? Do you catch my drift?
P.S. Went opshopping yesterday. Found a gorgeous belt for $1.50, and a blouse for the same price which I will hock off on Trademe to create a small income for myself.
Happy blipping everyone :)
