Rained Off

We visited our local paradise garden - Logan Gardens- this morning for a snowdrop walk. It was quiet and peaceful and we felt at times that we had the garden to ourselves. Everything was beautifully cared for and we enjoyed seeing our favourites. The Bistro was open and lots of local residents had coffee and a blether. So good to be part of such a lively and caring community.
After lunch I raked over on the Far Side project until about 3 when a heavy downpour sent me running to the greenhouse. I sorted out some seeds collected last autumn - Thalictrum aquilegiafolium and Persicaria ‘Red Dragon ‘ I was feeling cold and damp by this time but came into a cheery fire and cup of tea. Looks like we’ll spend the evening reading by the fire - so restful to be screen free.
