Japanese Anemone in winter mode

Although my job this morning was to cut them down. A perfect morning for working outside, mild, dry and no wind. I came in at 1.00 for food and out for a walk at 2.00 only to find it was now drizzling, another wet walk.

A few yellow crocus can now be seen and of course two Black Beauties, their job this morning was to entertain me when outside, it was easy to become distracted.
