Tonic Water - Just The Tonic

Overnight I experienced excruciating cramp in my thigh, Mrs S and I had heard that drinking tonic water stops the cramp and the pain. I hobbled down stairs and found some lemon flavoured tonic water and then slept well, no pain, no cramp.
Coffee and toast and then at midday Sam and I, accompanied by Paddy, headed off for our walk/hike. Mrs S dropped us at St Laudus church in Mabe where I did a quick Commonwealth War Grave Check on the sole grave and then started off.
Six miles later we arrived at St Constantine church in Constantine, only a few hundred yards of our walk was on roads the rest on the footpaths over, across and round farms, and electric fences. Twice Paddy had to be lifted up and assisted over stiles, for the rest of the time he seemed to be having as much fun as us.
Mud up to my ankles reminded me I need walking boots not trainers!
After a sandwich the three of us were collected by Mrs S and arrived home for hot showers and a change of clothes, Paddy promptly fell asleep.
My legs ached before the day was out but I had thoroughly enjoyed the day, walking, helping Sam with her map reading and how to orientate herself, all good stuff.
