Day Of Disappointments

It started last evening really, Paddy, who runs a mile during housework days when the hoover is on laid on the settee contentedly whilst the chimney sweep had his monster hoover going at full blast.
Then this morning, no leisurely breakfast it was up, shower, coffee and then on my way to brief the Cornwall Royal British Legion on Junes Armed Forces Day. A wasted journey really as there is no information coming from an increasingly inept appearing Cornwall Council.
Apparently we will be told everything we need to know when we get to the ‘100 days to go’ mark.
Perhaps if we all withheld our council tax until there was 100 days until the end of the financial year they might come to understand how frustrated we feel.

The return to Falmouth was trouble free and I arrived in time to collect Paddy and head up to the rugby club for the 1st XV match against Kingsbridge. The size of the support was disappointing, I understand that times are tough but admittance is by donation, not compulsory, so you would expect the crowd to remain around the same size.
Crowd size down, takings down = bleak outlook.
We were winning when I arrived but it turned into another loss although we gained a bonus point.
It is theoretically possible for us to stay up but highly improbable.

Looking forward to tomorrow and a Dad & Daughter Day
