Covent Garden..
A view from The Royal Opera House balcony café sitting by a window with this beautiful transfer. We enjoyed a pot of tea and a cafetière of coffee. I could have sat there for a very long time.
We came up after church this morning. Ian was excellent as always, speaking on why we need to know the Old Testament to understand the New. What he brings to us is so accessible.
We travelled by bus again but the upstairs front seats were taken for the whole journey to Waterloo. Covent Garden is a real favourite and I never tire of being there. We stopped at Drury Lane theatre where Joff and Andréa took Esmée on Thursday for her fourth birthday adventure to see Frozen, the musical. From the opera house balcony we saw other little Elsa’s who’d obviously also been to the show.
My extra, another favourite at Covent Garden, the lively string quintet playing with their usual fun and enthusiasm.
We’ve used this weekend to the full. So grateful for the opportunity, and with conversation about family and friends for whom this is not possible, and remembering it is Holocaust Memorial weekend.
