Parts Of A Day

Rugby Club in the morning, there seems to be a bit more energy amongst the Thursday Gang. Given the problem of making a shower set up built for men’s rugby capable of being used by the ladies team it took around thirty minutes to decide on a course of action, thirty minutes to order the bits and next Thursday to install and test.

In the afternoon I went to a friends funeral. Treswithian Downs Crematorium is light, bright and airy and its chapel was packed to the rafters. Every seat was taken, four full rows standing at the rear and then more at the front by the exit doors.
A simple service, readings from the family and then we were outside into the cold sunshine.
I had declined the wake and used the opportunity of being “out west” to visit Iain, a fellow veteran as exasperated with the whole National Armed Forces Day 23 as me.

Home, collected Sam and headed to Truro, Sam to post a parcel, me to shop.

The view across Falmouth Harbour in a weak watery sun.
