Vanadu

This is a detail from the Vanadu van. The artist behind the work lives in Hyattsville, Maryland. He has dedicated his home and his vehicles to his art.  Vanadu Art House is in an ordinary neighborhood on an ordinary street, but nothing about it is ordinary. 
At first, I thought it looked junky, but close inspection shows some incredible art. It looks a bit steam punk, and a bit art deco, too. 
I could have spent absolute days looking at all his work, but it was pouring rain. I am glad that I took the strobe, as it was dreary lighting. 
The extras are of the bigger view of the house and some more details. There is absolutely no way to capture the entire view!
