Dorothy At 102

As we weren’t too far away, we took a detour on the way home from Northampton today to Berkhamsted to visit Tess’s Aunt Dorothy.

Dorothy was 102 on Boxing Day and still lives independently in the family home she has lived in all her married life. Sadly her husband George died some years ago.

Although her short term memory is not what it was her long term memory is fine and she still cooks for herself and walks unaided around the house although she doesn’t get out much now. Her only daughter lives in Canada but orders Dorothy’s shopping for her online every week and they talk everyday on the phone or Zoom.

As you can see from the blip she remains the strong, indomitable character she has always been.
