Coldhams Common
This morning at 7.30 Kyro went to the curtained window and started barking. I could hear a conversation going on outside. Decided a lie-in was shot so got out of bed. Kyro and I were walking shortly after 8am. It was much quieter than a weekday morning.
Had breakfast a while after our return. The plan was to take Kyro somewhere spacious for an afternoon walk. Coldhams Common a short drive away on the other side of the city was chosen.
At first Kyro wouldn't get into the car despite treat-luring. Eventually I just lifted his back legs into the back seat. He hadn't been in the car since we first fetched him from the kennel.
He was raring to go at the common - still on the lead, of course. This was a new place for us and we were unaware of potential hazards. Plus the instinct to chase is still powerful and his charging through anything in the process could rip his thin skin.
He was alert as you can see in the blip and was like a sniffer dog at times with nose on the ground following scents all round and back and forth. We walked for about an hour.
He readily jumped into the back seat this time and I secured him to the seatbelt. All his senses on the alert tired him out. Once home he had a long drink, a few snacks, a carrot and half a banana then slept on the sofa,
Extra - view of the common looking towards the chimney of the Museum of Technology.
The Great Pottery Throwdown then an early night.
Pleasant evening everyone.
