Any Time Is Good!, West Malling

Was very glad it was Friday yesterday and that I had the weekend to look forward to so a wee drink or two may have passed my lips in way of celebration!
Today started with the usual Saturday morning run before breakfast with my brother. It wasn't very long but we both don't feel right unless we have had a jog round the local environs. For lunch today we decided to pop to West Malling and return to the lovely Five Pointed Star. Just as before the staff were friendly and the food and beer were great. We sat down just after midday when it opened but it filled up very quickly which created a really nice atmosphere, probably because everyone was enjoying themselves as much as we were. Any time is good for a pub lunch if it's as great as the Five Pointed Star is.
I'll only be in three days at work next week (hurrah!) due to the train strikes on Wednesday and Friday but am again being told I'll have to take them as holiday (booooooo!). I offered to take the days as unpaid leave but apparently that is not acceptable (another booooooo!). Employers in this country really know how to keep their staff happy.
