By the Bay
We had coffee this morning at Manly, on the shores of Moreton Bay in Brisbane. The Bay was named by Captain Cook on 15 May 1770 after Lord Morton, then President of the Royal Society. The spelling of his name got confused at some point (Wikipedia).
The mainly open-air cafe featured a number of marine light beacons. I would have liked some information about their origin, but could find none. The coffee was good, and we enjoyed sitting alongside the water under the shade of an impressive spreading tree.
