down to look up.  The theme brought to mind the mirrors placed in public buildings with especially interesting ceilings, or roofs in the case of churches, so one can gaze and admire without straining one's neck. I especially remember hammer-beam roofs and the famous angels adorning many Fenland churches . . . alas I had to make-do with a treetop
