cafe life

Jess doesnt visit a lot of cafes (neither do I, except for work!) but this has to be her favourite - the Frothy Bike Co on the Whitesands. She is quite happy to wait under the table, while being made a fuss of by staff and other customers.

I was there today to meet Diana, who I last saw on my wedding day almost 35 years ago. She was one of 5 of us girls who shared a house in Clapton, East London, while we were medical students at Barts. We were also both in the Apline Club, going on trips to climb hills all over the country. I don't know why we lost touch, but recently a mutual friend got us back in contact and this is the first chance we have had to meet up.

I was a little nervous, thinking we might run out of conversation, but we talked all through coffee, all through lunch and then all through tea and cake back at mine :-)
