Showers Of Blessings

We were particularly blessed at FBC this morning as we began our series of four Winter Renewal Services with music directed by Charles Colvin and preaching by Dr. Jimmy Draper, who just happens to be the grandfather of our own Pastor Wes.  After opening our service with a congregational song, the choir,orchestra and our other talented accompanists presented a jubilant version of "The River Is Here",  followed by more congregational praise and worship, leading up to the sermon by Brother Jimmy.  My favorite illustration he used to show that no one else can receive Christ for you, that it is something you have to do personally and individually.  He had been talking about Jesus inviting people to come to Him to receive the water of eternal life......
