Morning light

During winter I don't walk in the woods at the end of our road as they get too muddy and boggy, but as it has not rained for a while and everything is frozen sold at the moment, I decided to walk there today. The ground was frozen and it was not muddy. It was really cold, although the morning light and slightly misty conditions were lovely to see. In the extras you can see how misty it was.

After the walk I had a cappuccino at home and then went off to my golf lesson. Although the golf centre is a few minutes from my home there is road works on the route, so it took me ages to get there and I was nearly late. I had a very good lesson, its all quite technical today where they have a tablet kind of thing which measures the statistics of your swing. He helped me work on some specific items to improve my swing and I was definitely hitting the ball better by the end of the lesson. I stayed on for another half an hour to practice. I find it such a tricky sport, I can hit a perfect shot and repeat it and then it goes pear shaped for the one after that!

With Gavin away this weekend I was thinking of going to London to meet up with Luke and Meriel, but its so cold and actually it's just so comfortable to stay home instead! Gavin had a good day skiing but said that it was bitterly cold, -19C up the mountain with poor visibility, everyone was feeling the cold and a few people had falls but not serious ones.

I was planning on going to Bushy Park for sunrise tomorrow but I see there is going to be a freezing fog so not sure if I will go.
