Baxter Park Pavilion

Baxter Park and the pavilion were gifted to the people of Dundee in 1863 by the Baxter family who were flax mill owners. The park layout was designed by Sir Joseph Paxton and the pavilion was designed by his son in law George Henry Stokes.
The pavilion is now used as a wedding venue, but was previously a community space and at various times has had a cafe and an ice cream kiosk. It’s a well loved and well used park, with play parks, tennis and basketball courts and huge open spaces.
