Arundel from the train

Today is a travel day for the hazelhs. It goes as follows:

1. Car to Chichester railway station
2. Train (1) to Three Bridges station by Southern
3. Train (2) to St Pancras station by Thamelink
4. Walk to Kings Cross
5. Train (3) to Waverley by LNER
6. Walk home

I took this photograph of Arundel and flooded fields on stage 2 of the journey. I am posting it towards the end of stage 5 (just past Alnmouth).

We had a couple of wobbles at the start of the trip because train 1 was late and it made me feel travel sick. However, we had built in time to accommodate for any delay so reached Kings Cross with plenty of time to spare for the 13:30 service north, and my sickness evaporated towards the end of the trip on train 2.

We are travelling first class on train 3, so took full advantage of the lounge in London, and have enjoyed the catering in our carriage en route. The train is very quiet so the two of us have been able to spread out very comfortably across a table for four.

If our luck holds, we'll be home by 7pm.

Exercise today: small amount of walking.
