Duck

As we set off for the evening walk, saw friend hunter Johannes setting off for a dusk duck shoot. I think the winter deer shooting pause is now in place.  We briefly exchanged three words at a distance, but he was in a hurry as it was almost too late to get into place.

Johannes and our other hunter friend MrB have done a lot of work to increase the duck population around here. Back in 2016, they had set up duck nests, including at the bottom of our garden. Have to say, in the last year or so haven't often seen ducks in our stream, but I assume that may have something to do with the beaver having moved in.
