Almost Spring

Went for a nice walk round Trottick Mill Pond this afternoon. Perfect walking weather with blue skies and sunshine but still quite chilly. I love walking at this time of year - the buds on the trees and shrubs full of the promise of what’s to come. There’s a breeding pair of swans on the pond and I saw them today with what I think must be their brood from last year - 5 young swans, all of them eagerly following a small child as he scattered f feed for them (not bread thankfully)
I snapped these lovely bright berries as I was struck by the contrast with the bare branches and the grey of the water as it flowed past (The Dichty Water which flows from one side of Dundee to the other)
