January Blues

Only one string is working, but it's been sunny enough for the solar lights to come on this evening. Not for long, but better than nothing. I keep reminding myself that the nights are drawing out, but not quite believing a word of it.

Awake so long in the night that I finished my cryptic crossword and read a bit, too. Then, naturally, I couldn't wake up this morning. Up in time for elevenses! Ho hum. 

Thought about gardening. Went outside and topped up the bird feeders, and thought again. Bitterly cold wind! So, instead, I played silly digital games and began knitting the right front of a cardie for LMB. Now we've just polished off a lovely Sunday dinner and I'm ready to pick up my knitting again and get stuck in.
